About

We all know our packages are only as good as the packaging supplies we send them in. What I mean by this is, it does not matter how neatly and what you packed in boxes if the packaging supplies are not going to hold up during the shipping process. The box will go through several hands and possibly several throws, slides, and tosses. To be sure that your product stays safe and protected, you need to make sure you use the most reliable supplies to package your things. It is not worth going cheap on the supplies if that means your items inside the package are going to be delivered broken and in pieces. Then you will just be spending more money either issuing a refund or sending a new product, anyways. Here is a list of supplies that should be reliable when shipping anything of value.

Bubble Wrap
Bubble wrap is actually used for more than just popping those bubbles for fun… It really is essential for wrapping valuable items during shipping. Boxes can constantly be knocked around or thrown during the shipping process. If products hit the inside of the box while moving around, then there is a possibility of the product being broken. But! If the product is wrapped in bubble wrap then there are several extra layers of protections are the item just in case the box does get tossed around.

Packaging Tape
Tape isn’t always the easiest thing to deal with, but it is necessary. And I mean necessary for the whole box. Do not just tape the corners of the box and the top one time and think that is going to be sufficient for the shipping process. There are so many times that the tape pops off and items inside the box could be lost forever. People who are moving the boxes cannot identify where the missing items go, so they could just be left behind. Tape can also start to break down due to extreme conditions. If you know your package will endure rain or snow, it is best to really make sure the tape is secure for the trip.

It may cost a little bit more upfront to ship your packages to customers, but it is well worth footing the cost of supplies rather than refunding or resending a product to a customer. Each product and box should be handled with care before it leaves. You can’t control how the box is handled after it leaves your site, but you can control how prepared the box is for handling.
